Last December, CEMDESK has included the official Cambridge Assessment English calendar through an API. An API is a system that allows communication between two applications, in this case, between Cambridge Assessment English and CEMDESK.
Thus, when a new session is registered in CEMDESK, through which enrolments will be received, the official dates available for the selected level will be displayed. After selecting the type of examination and main date, the main dates related to the exam will be automatically displayed: Entry closing date, Speaking Window, Results issue, etc. In addition, the start panel will show alerts on key deadlines of Cambridge or updates with respect to the official calendar. The information incorporated into CEMDESK is updated in real time with the information directly provided by Cambridge systems.
The integration of the Cambridge calendar into our system has been possible with the joint work of the work teams of both institutions. We believe that this integration is the first of many possible communication channels between CEMDESK and Cambridge English for Centres.
